Did anyone else find it strange how little coverage Scrapper Blackwell's murder received back in 1962? Considering his influence on the blues and his resurgence in the 50s, you'd think there would have been more of a public outcry or at least a more thorough investigation. It's almost like his murder was swept under the rug. I can't help but wonder if his lifestyle or the era's prejudices played a role in the lack of follow-up. It makes me so sad to think about the possibilities he had ahead of him and how his talent was snuffed out so abruptly. Blackwell deserved justice, and it's unsettling to know his case remains unsolved after all these years. Anyone have any insights or thoughts on why this might have happened?

It's really sad to think about all the talent we lost when Scrapper Blackwell was taken from us so suddenly. What's been sticking with me about his case is the timing. He was finally making a comeback, stepping back into the spotlight after years away, and then this tragedy struck. It makes you wonder about all the music that could have been. No one should have to leave this world in such a violent way, especially someone who had already given so much to the music world. Seeing how his family and friends never got answers must be incredibly tough. I hope someday the truth comes to light, and his loved ones can find some level of peace.
