Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Bobby Ray Moore Sr. and something that's been on my mind is the rifle used in the murder—a .30-06. It's an odd choice for such a close-range attack, don’t you think? Especially in a small town like Fremont, where you might expect a handgun to be more readily accessible. The fact that the killer used a rifle could indicate a couple of things: maybe the shooter was familiar with firearms and had access to a hunting rifle, or perhaps it was a weapon of opportunity, taken from a local source? The logistics of carrying a rifle do make it seem like the shooting was premeditated to some extent. It’s not exactly easy or discreet to bring a rifle to a scene without drawing attention. Plus, the time of night indicates the attacker had a good idea of Moore's routines, which suggests someone had been watching him for a while. I just feel like if we could find out more about the .30-06, we might find some new leads. Did anyone in the community or surrounding areas report a stolen rifle around that time? Or, was there an unsolved burglary involving firearms? I know it’s a long shot, but someone might remember something after all these years. My heart goes out to Bobby's family. It must be incredibly difficult not having answers after all this time. Let's hope justice finds its way eventually. Any thoughts on this angle? Stay safe, [Username]
