I’ve been following Patrick Martin’s case, and the element that sticks with me is the impact on those kids who were in the house that night. I can’t imagine how terrifying it must have been for them. It's awful that their childhoods were touched by such violence. Those kids saw things no one should ever have to see, especially at such a young age. I really hope the community is rallying around them and providing the support they need to process what happened. If anyone knows of resources or organizations that have stepped up to help these kids, please share. Situations like these highlight the importance of mental health care for children who witness traumatic events. Sending thoughts to Patrick's family and to everyone affected by this awful crime.
