Has anyone else been following the community reactions to Lafayette Watters' case? It's been years now, and I can’t imagine how tough it's been for his family. I was reading about how the neighborhood saw a spike in violence around that time, and it seems like a lot of people just felt unsafe speaking up, maybe out of fear. Does anyone know if there have been any community initiatives or movements since then that might help encourage people to come forward, or maybe foster better relations with the police? Watters' story is such a tragic reminder of the violence that can become all too common. It would be really inspiring to hear if there are any positive changes or ongoing efforts to bridge this gap, even if justice for Watters seems out of reach for now. Keeping his loved ones in my thoughts.
