I was going through some of the old news articles and discussion threads about Troy Redd's case over the weekend, and one thing that caught my attention was how the community came together in the wake of his tragic death. It's overwhelmingly clear that Troy was much more than just a victim. He was an active part of the New Albany community, involved in local events and often seen engaging with neighbors and friends. What I find so admirable is how his community didn't just forget him after the initial shock. There were vigils and gatherings held in his honor, which says a lot about the impact he had on those around him. It's comforting to see that even amidst such pain, people managed to come together to celebrate his life and support his family. I've read that these communal efforts offered some solace to his loved ones, especially his mother, Martean. Does anyone here know more about these community responses or were any of you actually involved back then? It would be heartening to learn how such gatherings provided strength and unity to those who needed it the most.
