I've been thinking a lot about Wendy's love for riding her Harley, and it's truly awful to think about how such vibrant passions can be overshadowed by tragedy. From the snippets I've read, she seemed to be someone who genuinely embraced life's thrills, whether it was the open road on her Softail or pushing herself with a good run. It's comforting to imagine her family's memories of those joyful rides, maybe feeling the wind and the freedom she so enjoyed. I can't even begin to imagine what her son went through discovering everything. Coming home from an internship, likely filled with aspirations and stories to share with his mom, only to find his world turned upside down. It's clear the emotional wreckage left behind by such an act of violence is unimaginable. Jason Eaton turning himself in was a step towards justice, but the trauma and the ripples of his actions will linger for Wendy’s loved ones for a lifetime. I hope they find solace in remembering her spark and zest for life. It's these memories that hopefully bring some light in such a dark aftermath. Thinking of her family and friends during such an unbelievably challenging time.
