I’ve been following the Forsythia Drive case since it first happened, and something that sticks with me is how important community involvement was to solving it. Think about "Witness 11" and the impact they had on bringing Kenneth Lancaster to justice. Having the courage to come forward, especially in situations involving violent crime, is no small feat. It shows how vital it is for people to stand up when they know something. For the families of Mark Higgins, Keith Higgins, and Jessica Carte, it must be a small comfort to know that justice was served in some way, but the loss is unimaginable. It’s a stark reminder of how community action can make a real difference, but also that it’s a continuous effort to support each other and prevent these tragedies. I hope those impacted by this tragedy have found some peace in knowing that others cared enough to speak up. It speaks volumes about the importance of community in the justice process.
