Does anyone know why this case took until April 2019 to reach a guilty plea? I can't imagine the agony Josephine’s family must have endured waiting for justice. It’s terrifying to think about her daughter having to witness such a traumatic event and then live in fear for months before Marial Wel was sentenced. It seems like an eternity for the kids to have to process such a tragedy without any closure. My heart goes out to them, and I hope they’re receiving the support they need. Also, I wonder if there were any red flags in the relationship that could have alerted the authorities sooner. Domestic violence cases are so often overlooked, and it’s devastating. Any thoughts on what could be done differently in the future to help protect victims in similar situations?
