I've been following Julio Simon's case and I just keep thinking about how the community rallied around his family. It's truly remarkable how people came together in such a difficult time. So many community members attended the vigils and offered support to Virgilio, Norma Gladis, and their family. It’s in moments like these that you realize the strength and solidarity that exist within our neighborhoods, even when we’re faced with the darkest of times. Julio's circle of friends spoke so highly of him, it’s clear he was loved by so many. It's such a tragedy to lose someone at such a young age, and the impact he's left speaks volumes. I hope the ongoing legal proceedings bring some sense of justice and peace to his loved ones. My thoughts are with his family and everyone who knew him.
