Has anyone else been following the Ashley Richardson case and feel completely floored by the failures in the pre-trial system? Honestly, I just cannot wrap my head around how someone with a violent history like Kendale Abel ended up with an ankle monitor and not behind bars, especially after allegedly attacking her with a hammer. It's deeply concerning that the system set to protect victims can sometimes seem more focused on the rights of the accused. My heart really goes out to Ashley's family—they have endured so much pain and loss. I hope her story leads to changes in how these cases are handled in the future, because no one should ever have to suffer like that. Anyone else have thoughts on how the justice system could prevent cases like this?
