I've been following the unsolved case of Deaires J. Grant, and I keep thinking about his family and how they might feel knowing that whoever did this hasn't been caught. It's been over six years, and I can't even begin to imagine the pain and frustration they must endure. So many lives were lost that year in Indianapolis; it was just a terrible time for the city. The community needs some closure on cases like this, not just for justice but to start healing. I hope someone with information finds the courage to come forward. Justice for Deaires and those who loved him is long overdue.

Has anyone else noticed the eerie silence around Deaires Grant’s case? I’ve been following it since it happened, and it’s just so frustrating that there hasn’t been any movement, especially considering how much information must be out there. It breaks my heart for his family. The 7800 block of Penobscot Drive isn’t exactly remote, so there must have been witnesses or at least someone who saw something unusual. I can’t imagine the pain of not having answers or justice for your loved one. It makes me wonder about the bigger issue of rising gun violence in Indianapolis around that time and how many families have been affected in the same way. If anyone has heard anything new or has ideas on what could be done to bring more attention to these cold cases, please share. Deaires deserves justice, and his family deserves peace.
