Has anyone here been following the Serenity Brown case? The timeline is absolutely baffling to me. How is it possible that Serenity went missing in 2006, but it took five years for anyone to notice? I get that sometimes cases slip through the cracks, but this is just beyond imagination. The social worker's intervention in 2011 seems to be the turning point, but I just can't wrap my head around how no one noticed she was gone for so long. Does anyone have thoughts on how something like this could happen, especially in a busy place like Brooklyn? It’s just so unsettling that there's such a long gap in reporting, and it makes you wonder about similar situations that might still be under the radar.
