I’ve been thinking a lot about how often party settings like what happened to Ja’Len can turn dangerous, and it's so unsettling. It's sad that a celebration ended in such a tragedy. I read that Ja’Len was a recent high school grad, involved in musicals and even coaching, and I just can’t imagine the depth of loss his family is experiencing right now. It's like they not only lost a loved one but all the potential that his future held. I really feel for Ja’Len’s mother, Tanesha, as she struggles with the investigation. It’s hard to grasp why more people haven't come forward. It's been quite a while since it happened; you’d think someone would’ve shared more information by now. Understandably, she’s doing everything she can to keep the memory of her son alive and seek justice for him. If anyone reading this was at the party or knows anything, even the smallest detail could help. The family deserves answers.
