Does anyone else find it strange that instead of using the phone he borrowed to call authorities or his family, Hamil Cody Ross didn't leave any significant messages or clues behind? It seems like such a rare opportunity for someone in distress to make contact. Was he unable to communicate that he was in trouble, or did he feel there was no immediate danger? It just baffles me, considering the circumstances. Also, why head towards Midland on foot at that hour? It makes you wonder if Ross had a plan we aren't aware of or if something spooked him. I just hope more information comes to light.
Did anyone ever mention any details about the phone call Hamil made? There’s a lot of speculation regarding who he might have called or what exactly he said during that conversation. If it was a call for help or to someone who might have been meeting him, could there be more information out there that hasn’t been revealed? It's perplexing that the phone call is one of the few confirmed sightings we have after he disappeared from the crew. Such a small piece of the puzzle, but it might hold significant clues to unravel the mystery of what actually happened during those crucial hours. Anyone have thoughts on why his movements would lead him toward Midland, especially if he was familiar with the area?
