I've been following the discussion about Rodney "Pickett" Willis and couldn't get over just how much this highlights the impact of gun violence on communities that are often forgotten outside of these tragedies. I read somewhere that he was a delivery driver, which got me thinking about how many essential workers like him are exposed to dangerous situations simply by being out and about all the time. It’s just so frustrating to think that something as routine as stopping at a nearby business could lead to such a terrible outcome. Does anyone know if there have been any updates from the IMPD or if the community has organized any gatherings or memories in his honor? I really hope the authorities will step up and that the community can come together for safer streets. Sending thoughts to Rodney's family and everyone affected. Stay safe, everyone. ?
