Something that's always puzzled me about Robert Tatman's case is the timeline. It's such a short window between when he radioed the dispatch and when the motorist found him. It almost feels like this whole tragedy unfolded in a blink of an eye. It’s chilling to think how quickly everything can change. Why was there no suspect or vehicle description from other motorists? West Church Street isn't exactly remote, even in the late '60s. Was there really no other traffic or witnesses in that span of just a few minutes? It’s so sad that such crucial information is missing and that the family has had to wait so long for any kind of resolution. My thoughts are with them as this unsolved case continues to weigh heavily on their lives.

Hey everyone, I've been digging into the details of Officer Robert Tatman's case, and something that's been on my mind is the role the community played in the moments immediately following the incident. It's kind of chilling to think about how a passing motorist ended up being the one to find Officer Tatman and radio for help. It really shows how random life can be and how we sometimes find ourselves thrust into situations we could never expect. I can't imagine how that motorist must have felt, stumbling upon such a tragic scene and having to take immediate action. What strikes me too is how Officer Tatman's flashlight and hat were found on the ground. These small, personal items are such stark reminders of his humanity and the suddenness of it all. Given that this happened over 50 years ago, I hope with all the advancements in technology and DNA, someone able to revisit the case might uncover something new. Officer Tatman deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. Would love to hear any theories or thoughts on the weapon being used against him and how that might have happened. Thanks, everyone.
