Did anyone else read about Virgil's case and get intrigued by the Copper River area? I’ve been diving down a rabbit hole, trying to learn more about it. The river’s known for its strong currents and intense rapids, not exactly a place I'd venture without a lot of prep. I wonder if the environment could have played a bigger role in Virgil's disappearance than we might think. It's got that mix of beauty and danger, with unpredictable weather thrown in. It seems like a tough spot for someone to go missing, and I'm curious if anyone from the area recalls any odd occurrences around the time Virgil vanished or if similar incidents have happened there. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Virgil disappeared? I know Glennallen can have some pretty unpredictable weather even in July. It makes me wonder if a sudden change might have caught him off guard while on the Copper River. If it was raining heavily or the water levels were higher than usual, it could have caused some trouble for someone out there. Just a thought, but maybe someone local remembers what the conditions were like around the time he went missing?

I've been following Virgil's case for a while now, and one thing that keeps nagging at me is the weather conditions on the day he disappeared. Does anyone know if there were any unusual weather events or river conditions reported around July 2, 1979 in the Copper River area? I wonder if a sudden change could have contributed to him going missing. If locals from that time recall anything unusual, it might be worth looking into. Also, were there any searches conducted at the time, and did they check downstream thoroughly? Just brainstorming some possibilities here. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
