Wow, just diving deep into this case and I can’t shake this gut feeling. Was the fishing vessel fire ever investigated thoroughly? I mean, accidents happen, but it seems kinda odd that Ronald would choose to jump overboard instead of grabbing a life jacket or trying to escape to a lifeboat. Maybe no time, panic, who knows? Has anyone come across details about the people he was with on that vessel? I wonder if they noticed anything off about the fire or how Ronald reacted to it. You know how sometimes the smallest detail can connect the dots… I really hope his family and friends get some clarity one day. Thoughts?
I recently came across Ronald's case from back in '79, and what's puzzling to me is the weather conditions at the time of the incident. Being on a fishing vessel in Alaskan waters can be perilous, and I'm curious if anyone knows more about what the sea was like that day. Were there any storms or bad weather reports that might have contributed to the situation? It seems to me like that could have played a big role in both the fire and Ronald's chances if he jumped overboard. Anyone with insights or any locals who remember that summer?
