Just came across the tragic case of Eli Hickerson, and it's really tough to grasp how something as everyday as driving can turn into such a nightmare. One thing that's been on my mind is Eli's friend who was driving the car. I can't imagine the trauma they must be dealing with, having witnessed such a horrific event and feeling helpless in that moment. It’s one thing to know that justice has been served with Kimbrough’s conviction, but for the people directly involved, like Eli's friend, the emotional scars will last a lifetime. I hope they have a strong support system and can eventually find some peace amid the chaos and loss. My heart goes out to everyone who's been impacted by this senseless act of violence.
