I keep thinking about the night Sabrina lost her life and it just guts me every time. She was completely innocent, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can’t even imagine what her family is going through, knowing she was taken so suddenly and senselessly. Ronnie Smith’s actions that night were beyond reckless; they were devastating. I get that the plea deal was probably the best way to ensure some kind of justice, but 20 years doesn’t seem like enough for a life lost. It’s horrifying to think how quickly a domestic dispute can escalate to this level of violence. Makes you wonder what more can be done to address these issues before they spiral out of control. Sending thoughts to Sabrina’s loved ones and hoping they find some peace in the midst of this nightmare.
