I've been following the tragic case of Justin Hall, and something that's been on my mind lately is the role of bystander intervention in situations like this. From what we know, the altercation took place in broad daylight. It makes me wonder if there were any attempts by nearby witnesses to intervene or if anyone tried to de-escalate the situation before it became fatal.
It's so troubling to think about the potential for someone to step in and possibly prevent such a tragedy. My heart goes out to Justin's family and friends as they navigate through this painful time. I really hope that, moving forward, people feel empowered to take action when they see conflicts escalating, though, of course, it's never easy to determine the safest or most effective way to help. This case is yet another reminder of how quickly disputes can turn deadly and the importance of looking out for one another.
I've been following the Justin Hall case closely and can't shake the sense of loss for his family and friends. I keep thinking about how any workplace should be a safe space, and yet, this tragedy unfolded right outside where he and many others made their livelihoods.
