I've been following the case since it happened, and something that really stands out to me is the randomness of the attack. It makes me so uneasy to think about how quickly a life was taken just out of nowhere. Todd wasn't doing anything but resting, and then this horrible crime occurs. I think about his family and how they must feel knowing that Todd was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. How do you ever come to terms with something like that? It's the kind of nightmare that I can't imagine getting closure from because there's just no sense to it. My thoughts are with his wife Shawna and the kids, who must be grappling with the sheer unpredictability of it all. I hope they find comfort in their memories and the support of their community.

I've been following the heartbreaking case of Todd Keith Roll, and something that's been on my mind is the location where he was found. It's chilling to think he was moved multiple times after the crime happened. I can't even imagine what it was like for his family to hear those details. It makes you wonder why Brandon Schaefer picked that specific route around Showplace Cinemas North. The theater seems like such a public and exposed place. Was it because it was nearby and convenient, or was there a different reason behind choosing that area? My heart goes out to Shawna and the kids, knowing that Todd was treated like that. It's almost inconceivable to think of how random and unprovoked this was. If anyone from Evansville has more insight or if there are local places mentioned in the trial, I think it'd be helpful to understand why this all unfolded the way it did.

Has anyone else been following the details about Brandon Schaefer's trial? It's so disturbing how someone can commit such a random act of violence. What really stands out to me is that this wasn't premeditated in the sense that he knew Todd personally—it was just a shocking decision made in the moment. It’s incredibly chilling to think about. My heart goes out to Todd’s family, especially his wife and kids, during what must be an unimaginably difficult time. Can’t imagine what they're going through as they try to make sense of this tragedy. Also, what are everyone's thoughts on the "guilty but mentally ill" verdict? It’s one of those cases that just makes you wrestle with justice and mental health—so tough to wrap your head around.
