Does anyone have more information about the search efforts that took place back in 1981 for Norman and the others? I know it's been decades, and details might be hazy, but I'm curious about how extensive the search was and whether there were any eyewitnesses or clues about their flight path that could give us more insight. It's such a remote area, and I can't help but wonder if there were challenges like weather or terrain that made the search more difficult than usual. Any insights or historical data would be greatly appreciated.
Hey everyone, I came across Norman's case recently, and there's this curious detail about the pilot, Rob Mourant. It seems like he had substantial experience flying in tricky weather conditions common in that region. Does anyone know more about the specific weather that day or if Rob had any history with emergency landings? It’s puzzling that they vanished without a trace, and I wonder if bad weather played a bigger part than initially thought. Any insights or similar aviation incidents might help shed more light on this. Thanks!
Hey everyone, I was digging into the case of Norman and the others who went missing back in '81, and I found it curious that there's so little info about the flight path they were supposed to take. Given the terrain around that area in Alaska, could weather conditions have played a significant role in their disappearance? I've read about other plane incidents where sudden storms or unexpected cloud cover caused major issues. Does anyone here have insight into the historical weather data for that day, or know if the plane had any equipment that could help them navigate tricky conditions? It just seems like such a vast wilderness out there, and I wonder if that could have been a factor.
