I've been thinking a lot about the impact this case must have had on the surviving families and the Richmond community during that time. Imagine being in a neighborhood where such horrific events took place. The sense of fear and loss must have been overwhelming. It's hard to fathom how the families of Harvey Wayne Barton and Judy Diane Barton managed to cope with such a devastating tragedy. I hope they found some comfort and support from their community. Also, it’s unsettling to think about Duncan Eric Meekins being only 16 at the time. The decisions he made, though undoubtedly heinous, altered so many lives, including his own. How do you all feel about plea deals in such cases? Do you think justice was truly served, considering his cooperation with authorities?
