Hey everyone, I came across Jaron Morris's case while reading about unsolved murders in Chicago. It really saddens me to see so many young lives being cut short due to gun violence. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his family must still be feeling after all these years. One thing that struck me was the overall context of Chicago back in 2007. It's crazy to think about how entire communities were dealing with so much pressure, not only from crime but also from underlying social and economic issues. I wonder what kind of progress, if any, has been made since then to address these problems at a systemic level. Have community programs or policy changes actually improved the situation? Maybe it's time we look into not just policing but how we can support these neighborhoods in a more holistic way. Sending thoughts to Jaron's loved ones, and hoping they find peace and justice.
