I came across an old newspaper article about the Gilpin Court Massacre and it mentioned the sheer number of people who attended the victims' funeral. Over 3,000 people gathered to pay their respects. It's both moving and gut-wrenching to think about how the community came together in the wake of such a tragic event. It’s a testament to the impact the Jones family had on those around them. My thoughts are with those who knew and loved Nicole and the others who were lost. It’s a painful reminder of how deeply violence can affect a community, and how important it is for us to remember and support each other through these times.
