It’s been over two decades since the tragedy at the U.S. Bank in Norfolk, Nebraska, and yet the pain still feels fresh for so many. I was especially moved by the story of Lisa Johnson Bryant. From what I've gathered, Lisa was known for her genuine kindness and always went out of her way to help others. Losing someone so compassionate and vibrant is tough to fathom. I think what really hits home for me is the randomness of that day. Lisa would have been going about her usual routine, likely thinking of a million things she had to do and random thoughts of her day, never imagining she wouldn’t return home. It’s a harsh reminder of how fragile life is. And through it all, the community’s response was incredible. The way Norfolk came together to support Lisa's family and the other victims' families speaks volumes. I believe it’s that solidarity that truly helps begin healing, although it's a long journey. Sending love to everyone who remembers and mourns with every anniversary. Let’s continue to honor their memories and push for safer communities. ❤️
