Just wanted to throw out a thought about William's situation. Has anyone looked into the weather patterns during that early June period in 1983 between Marshall and Russian Mission? I’m thinking maybe there could have been unexpected storms or flooding that might have played a role in why he didn’t show up on 7/18. Gold mines in remote locations like that can become pretty treacherous if the weather turns. Plus, with him being all alone out there, if he ran into trouble, he wouldn’t have had anyone to help. Just curious if there's any official weather documentation from that time or any locals who can recall what the conditions were like that summer? Seems like it might be a factor worth considering. Thoughts?
