Seeing Tray’s jersey retired at John Marshall High School brought tears to my eyes. It was such a powerful tribute that truly showed how much he was loved and respected in his community. I can only imagine how hard it must have been for his friends and family to watch his number go up – a stark reminder of his absence but also a lasting legacy of his impact. It struck me how much he meant to everyone around him, not just as a talented basketball player, but as a friend and teammate. This ceremony was a beautiful way to honor his memory and keep his spirit alive amid the tragic circumstances of his loss. My thoughts are with his loved ones as they continue to navigate through this unimaginable time. If anyone has more details about the community events that followed, I'd love to hear about how people are remembering Tray and keeping his spirit alive.
