It's so tragic that Crystal Bryant's case is still unsolved after all these years. I recently read a report from back in the day mentioning the suspect called out to her before the shooting. It makes me wonder if Crystal knew this person or if it was just some random encounter. It’s unsettling to think someone was bold enough to do this in broad daylight on a busy street. I can't even begin to imagine what her family has been going through all these years, with no answers or closure. They deserve justice, and I really hope the police revisit any overlooked evidence or maybe catch a break with some new technology or tips. Cases like these just show how crucial community cooperation is. If anyone remembers anything from that area or time, even the smallest detail, it could help. We should all keep Crystal in our thoughts and hope that closure comes soon.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that Crystal Bryant's case has had on the Newport News community. Since her tragic death back in December 2011, there’s been an overwhelming sense of loss among those who knew her and even those who didn't. I read that she was trying to turn her life around, which makes this even more devastating. It’s tough to see justice still eluding her after all these years. What’s particularly infuriating is how bold this crime was — a man just called her out in broad daylight before taking her life. There must have been people who saw more or heard more than they reported. I've been wondering if any new developments in forensic technology could help us inch closer to finding out what happened that day. Maybe DNA advances can unlock something that's been overlooked before? I keep hoping that someone with new information might come forward. It's about time that Crystal’s family got the answers they've been waiting for. If anyone has thoughts on how to gather more community support or spread awareness, I'd love to hear them. - Carrie
