Hey everyone, I’ve been going down a rabbit hole about some of the unsolved cases in Chicago around 2007, and I keep coming back to Mary Szatkowski's tragic death. I can't help but wonder if the enforcement tactics at that time might have affected the progress of investigations for many victims like Mary. From what I've read, there seemed to be a lack of resources and possibly even a reluctance to address the alarming pattern of violence against women. It’s frustrating to think that if there was a clearer focus back then, perhaps we'd have more answers today. It makes me wonder if the talks about systemic changes ever led to any improvements in how such cases are handled now. For Mary’s family and others like them, who’ve spent years waiting for answers, I hope that renewed attention might eventually lead to some kind of breakthrough. If anyone has insights on how these investigations have been progressing over the years or if there are newer approaches being taken, I’d love to hear about it. Together, our perseverance is key to keeping these cases in the public eye. Thoughts?
