Has anyone else been following the Robert Manning case from Oneonta? I was looking into old newspaper archives, and I found a mention that he was an avid fisherman. There was a rumor floating around back then about him planning a fishing trip around the time he went missing. I wonder if anyone ever looked into his favorite fishing spots or talked to local anglers who might have seen him. It seems like such a long time ago, but you never know who might remember something. It's been decades, yet it still feels like we're missing pieces of the puzzle. If anybody has more info or thoughts on this, I'd be interested to hear!
I’ve been digging through old news archives and local reports from around Oneonta related to Robert Manning, and something caught my attention. It seems like there was a guy matching Robert's description seen at a bus station the morning after he was last seen. Does anyone know if that lead was ever fully chased down? Given this sighting, do you think it’s possible he left town of his own accord, or was it just a case of mistaken identity? Also found a bit about him being involved in some local sports or volunteering, which makes me think there could be more connections out there that weren’t fully explored. Curious about everyone’s thoughts on these angles!
Has anyone looked into the businesses Robert Manning was involved with around the time he disappeared? I was reading some old newspaper articles, and it seems like he had connections with a few local companies in Oneonta. I wonder if there were any work-related issues—or maybe he had clients or associates who could shed some light on things from back then. It's odd how there seems to be so little to go on after all these years. If anyone has more info about his career or business dealings, it might be worth digging into this angle!
