I was reading through some old articles on the disappearance of John McMahon, Jr., and I got to thinking about the role of eyewitnesses back in 1970. With all the changes in technology and methods we have now, it makes me wonder how different his case might have been if we had the same resources available then. Back then, many cases relied heavily on witness statements and memories, which can be so unreliable over time. Could the absence of clear eyewitness accounts be a reason why this case has so little concrete evidence? Or maybe, it's just that no one saw anything at all. It's frustrating to think how many pieces could be missing just because of the limitations of the era. If anyone has more information on what kinds of witness testimonies were gathered back then, I'd be interested to hear about it. Every little detail might still help piece things together.
