I’ve been thinking a lot about Keshawn lately. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma he experienced that day. Watching his mother, Bridgette, being taken away so violently and then facing the gun himself... it’s just too much for anyone, let alone a young man. I really hope he’s found some form of support or therapy to help process everything. It's so important for him to have a strong network around him right now. I also wonder about the cousin who was there. It’s got to be haunting for them too. If anyone has info on how they are doing now, sending details or any updates would be appreciated. This case is just such a painful reminder of how deep domestic violence can cut. Stay strong, Keshawn and family. We’re all rooting for your healing. ?️
I've been following Bridgette Linetta White's case with a heavy heart, and I can't help but think about the toll these events have on the children involved. Keshawn and his sibling not only experienced the horrific loss of their mom but were thrust into this chaotic and violent situation by someone who should have been a protector. I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been for them during and after the events of that day.
In situations like these, it's essential that we focus on providing support and resources for the children who are caught in such traumatic episodes. They carry the burden of these memories, and it's up to the community to help them heal. Has anyone heard any updates on how Keshawn and his sibling are doing now? I truly hope they're getting the care and emotional support they need. Sending all my thoughts to Bridgette’s loved ones during this incredibly challenging time.
What happened that day on Baccalaureate Drive is just chilling. My heart goes out to Bridgette's family, especially her children and cousin who were there. I can't even imagine the trauma they must have experienced. It’s really unsettling to think that Bridgette, who dedicated her life to caring for others, didn't get the help or support she needed at home.
Hearing how James White showed Keshawn the revolver and threatened them makes me wonder if there were any signs building up to that day that maybe weren’t recognized for what they were. I hope if there were warning signs, the community around her can learn to spot them in the future for others facing similar struggles. It’s so important to pay attention when someone might be in distress.
This tragedy underlines how vital it is to have open discussions around domestic violence. Strangely enough, things like this could happen anywhere, even in a seemingly peaceful place like Virginia Beach. We need to push for more awareness and resources for those who might feel trapped in harmful relationships. Rest in peace, Bridgette. You deserved so much better.
