I’ve been reflecting on the role of media in covering violent events ever since the loss of Alison and Adam. It must have been unimaginably challenging for their colleagues at WDBJ7 to continue broadcasting in the days following such a tragedy. I can't imagine the emotional toll that takes on journalists who had to report on their own peers' deaths while dealing with their grief. This tragedy highlights not only the dangers reporters face but also the incredible resilience they must possess. I truly hope that networks are offering the necessary support to their newsroom teams in these situations. It's important for us, as viewers, to consider the personal impact these events have on the journalists who bring us the news every day. My thoughts are forever with Alison and Adam’s families, and all those affected at WDBJ7.
