Does anyone else feel like Anthony Herndon’s case slipped through the cracks because it was part of a bigger trend in Richmond back in 2015? It’s so tragic to think that not only did his family lose him in such a senseless way, but they also might not have the closure they deserve because the investigation ran into roadblocks. With so many cases left unsolved from that year, it’s upsetting to wonder if justice will ever be served for Anthony and others. It’s a stark reminder of how overwhelming the crime wave was for the community and law enforcement. I hope that one day more resources can be dedicated to revisiting these cases. Sending strength and love to everyone still affected by those turbulent times.
