Does anyone else find it curious that no one reported John Victor Hagy, Jr. missing for the entire eight days before his body was discovered? This is such a small, tight-knit community in Vansant, you would think someone might have noticed he was gone or that something was off. Makes you wonder about his relationships with friends and family members during that time. It’s so painful to think about what must have happened in those days leading up to the moment he was found. It’s a reminder of how important it is for us to watch out for one another, to check in with our neighbors, and to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. Thinking of his family and hoping they find some peace amidst this tragedy. Anyone else have thoughts on why there might not have been a missing person report for so long?

I've been following the case of John Victor Hagy, Jr., and I can't stop thinking about how hard it must be for the family and friends left behind. I wonder if there were any warning signs that the relationship between him and his son, William, was strained or if it caught everyone by surprise. It's so sad to think that a father-son bond could end in such a way. I'm also curious whether community support systems were available or present for the family during this time, as these things can often go unnoticed until it's too late. My thoughts are with those who cared for John and are struggling to understand all of this.
