Anyone here familiar with the fishing industry in the 80s? I've been looking into Eugene Diethelm's disappearance from the Constellation and it's got me thinking about how rough those years were for fishermen. The loss of vessels like the Camelot and the Normar II really puts into perspective just how risky their work was. I grew up hearing stories about unpredictable weather and dangerous waters, but these cases make it all too real. It's no wonder folks working in those conditions formed such tight-knit communities, given everything they faced out there.
