Has anyone else been following the case of Karon E. Williams in Richmond? I can't stop thinking about the sheer randomness and cruelty of her murder. It's so unnerving to think how she was just inside her own home, probably feeling safe, when this tragedy struck out of nowhere. The details about her trying to check out the disturbance near the back door really hit hard. It's something many of us do without thinking twice—just trying to protect our home or see what's happening. It makes me angry and sad to see her family left without answers, after what seems like such a senseless act of violence. I really hope they catch whoever did this.
