Hey everyone, I came across Richard Lee Bennett’s case and something's really puzzling to me. When his family visited his home in August, they found all his belongings packed up, but his cars were still there. I can't wrap my head around that. If he was planning to leave, wouldn't he take at least one of the cars? It seems odd his belongings were ready to go but he wasn’t, and no sign of him since May 2005. Anyone have any similar stories or theories about why someone might do that? Could it point to him intending to leave under different circumstances? Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has encountered anything similar in other cases.

I was going through some old case files and came across Richard Lee Bennett's disappearance again. I find it odd that he was last seen withdrawing money from an ATM at Fred Meyers. Does anyone else think it's strange that there wasn't any follow-up movement on the account after that? Maybe he withdrew a large sum of cash? Considering his belongings were packed up, could it be possible that he planned to leave but something unexpected occurred? It's been so long, but there must be something someone missed. I wonder if the ATM had surveillance cameras back then and if they ever captured any footage of him alone or if he was with someone. Just seems like another piece of the puzzle we’re missing. Thoughts?
