Wow, this case has pulled me in, especially the part about how the investigation initially unfolded. I can't imagine what Corey Smith's family must be going through. Something that really grabbed my attention was how crucial neighborhood surveillance footage ended up being in the investigation. According to some reports I've read, bits of CCTV footage from nearby businesses played a vital role in tracking movements on the day of Corey's murder. It leaves me wondering how much of a difference this tech makes in so many cases. It’s such a shame that incidents like this are what prompt communities to consider more surveillance options, but if it helps provide answers and justice, it's definitely worth discussing. I hope that Corey’s family gets the closure they deserve, knowing the community and various technologies helped piece together the events leading up to such a tragic loss. Anyone else find that technology’s role in solving crimes seems to be getting bigger and bigger?
