I've been reading up on Mary Sasson's case, and something that's been on my mind is the role of mental health in disappearances like hers. Back in 1985, awareness and support for mental health issues weren't nearly as advanced as they are today. It's possible that Mary's mental condition played a significant role in her disappearance. Maybe she became disoriented or confused while trying to get to the supermarket. It's truly sad how cases like this one remind us of the importance of looking out for vulnerable members of our community. I wonder if there were any initiatives around that time to help seniors who might have been struggling with similar issues. What does everyone think about how mental health may have impacted her situation?
