I’ve been thinking a lot about how Cole, Brandon, and Miranda all worked together at Bent Mountain Bistro. It’s a small detail, but it paints such a vivid picture for me. Working at a place like that, you get to know your coworkers really well. They probably shared so many laughs and late nights cleaning up after shifts. It’s just so hard to imagine that one of those small-town faces they saw all the time at work could turn out to be responsible for something so horrible. I can't help but feel for their families and team members who now have to return to that workplace with such heavy hearts. It must be incredibly difficult for those who worked with them, knowing that they’ll never see their smiles or hear their voices in the kitchen again. This case has really made me reflect on how crucial mental health support is. It’s so sad to think that maybe, with better resources, this tragedy could have been prevented. My thoughts are definitely with everyone affected at the Bistro and in that tight-knit community.
