Hey everyone, I’ve been following Richard J. Anderson’s case and keep thinking about how easily this whole situation could have been avoided if there was better lighting in the parking lot where he was shot. Why aren't there more streetlights or security measures in these areas? This particular part of Lake Edward Park was notorious for being dark and isolated at night. I can’t help but wonder if better lighting might have deterred the assailant or, at the very least, helped someone identify the individual who approached ArJai. It’s just so incredibly sad to think about how some simple preventative measures might have saved his life. My thoughts go out to his family, and I hope they find the justice they’re desperately seeking. If anyone is local, maybe there’s something we can do to push for better lighting and safety features in that area to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening again.
