Has anyone else ever wondered why there hasn’t been more media coverage on Joseph Sgroi’s disappearance? It’s baffling to me how some cases get national attention while others, like his, seem to be forgotten. I stumbled across his case while researching missing persons from New York and was surprised at the lack of information available. It’s as if the world forgot he existed after he left his home that day in 1989. The Niagara Falls Police Department has kept his case open, which means they must believe there’s still potential for finding answers. I just feel like if there were more media involvement, maybe more leads would have emerged by now. Does anyone have insights into why certain cases might be overlooked by the media? Could it have to do with the time period, or is it something else entirely?
