Has anyone else been following the case of Sadao "Jae" Richardson? It's just so awful to hear about what happened to him and Markus Floyd at that Henrico County event. My heart truly goes out to Jae's sister, Queen, who not only lost a brother but is now leading the charge in raising awareness about gun violence. Her strength is inspiring, but she shouldn't have to be going through this.
I was thinking how scary it must have been for everyone at that shopping center, and it makes you question the security measures in place at these venues. With Jae being a security guard, I wonder how we can better protect those who put themselves in harm's way to keep others safe. How can we honor Jae's memory by advocating for stricter protocols? It frustrates me that, despite the community's efforts, no arrests have been made. We need answers, and I hope they come soon for the sake of the victims' families.
