Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Robert Maunsell case for a while now, and something that's always struck me is the role of media in his disappearance. Given that he went missing in 1970, the way his case was covered back then is so different from today's standards. It's fascinating — and frustrating — to think how limited the reach was without social media or the internet to spread awareness quickly.
Back in the day, news didn't travel far beyond local areas unless it was a major headline. I can’t help but wonder if there might have been witnesses or people with valuable information who simply never heard about Robert Maunsell going missing. It's a reminder of how crucial media exposure is in these cases. Imagine if his case had blown up on social media like some do now!
It makes me think about those other cases from the pre-digital age that might have been solved or gotten critical leads if they had garnered broader attention. Anyone else have thoughts on how media, or the lack thereof, might have impacted the search and investigation for Robert Maunsell?
