I can’t stop thinking about Floyd's family and friends. Losing someone in such a violent manner must be incredibly painful, and knowing that it happened during what should have been a routine custody exchange is truly devastating. I’ve read that these moments are supposed to be about the well-being of the child, and yet here it turned into a nightmare for everyone involved. It’s particularly upsetting to think about the poor child who was caught in the crossfire. It's hard enough being in the middle of adult conflicts, let alone getting physically hurt because of it. How does one explain such an event to a child, and how do they move forward from trauma like this? The legal repercussions seem hefty, but the loss is immeasurable. I hope Floyd’s family finds peace somehow. It's a painful reminder of how quickly life can change and how crucial it is to find non-violent resolutions to disputes. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
