Reading about Michael Gregory's tragic death has really made me think about the larger issue of gun violence affecting Richmond’s community. It's so distressing to see such a young life cut short like this. I can't help but wonder about the role of community outreach programs in preventing these types of crimes. Are there any organizations in Richmond actively working on this? It seems like there should be more emphasis on engaging young people and providing alternatives before violence even becomes an option. I feel for Michael’s family and friends—losing someone so young and full of potential is incredibly difficult. Open to hearing what others think about this and whether there are proven methods that communities have used elsewhere to effectively reduce gun violence.
