I can't stop thinking about the poem Angela wrote. It feels like she infused so much hope and resilience into those words. It's incredibly moving, especially when you consider what she wanted for her future. It's deeply upsetting to see a life full of potential cut so tragically short. It makes me think about how many indigenous voices are lost because of these crimes. Angela had so much to share with the world, not just through her writing, but also her ambitions to help others through nursing. I'm truly hoping for justice for Angela and Michael and that their voices can still be heard in some way. Her family deserves answers, and Angela deserves to be remembered for who she was and what she could have been.
